Are Not My People Worthy (Audible Audio Edition) Wendell E Mettey Deb Thomas ReelMusician Pro Books Reviews
This book really opened my eyes to the poverty that exists all over the world including the United States. It's very sad to see and read that the body of Christ is not doing more to relieve those who are less fortunate than some of us are. Thank God for ministries like Matthew 25
This is the author's account of how he started the Matthew 25 Missionary. It helps the poor in countries around the world. He tells of his organization's humble beginnings and the struggles to help the needy.
This is the story about the growth of Matthew 25 Ministries, an organization which in in ministry to the poor.
I found this story very interesting and inspiring. From starting as one man's will to help the poor in Nicaragua to continuous growth and ability to help more and more people.
This is a quick read, but worth it if you are looking to lift your spirits and inspire you on your own journey.
Excellant book, an eye opener. I volunteer with Dress A Girl Around the World organization, and everyone should be involved with spreading Christ's love around the world. This book gave me many ideas how to do my part better, it was an easy read, but heartbreaking too. Americans are very blessed.
I have traveled to Honduras each year for the past year to support communities initially displaced by Hurricane Mitcham and to this day still struggling to survive and meet basic necessities I loved Pastor Meter ' s story as told within the context of Matthew and the words and actions of Jesus. Very very inspired by this uncomplicated but poignant record of God working to help the poor thru willing hands that heed His call.
I have read other writing by Wendell Mettey, and as always he describes "faith in action" in a vivid and meaningful way. Having been involved with "mission work" in the Dominican Republic, although on a much more modest scale than the efforts of the Matthew 25 Ministry described so vividly in this memoir, I can easily relate to many of the author's insights. The book is an extremely valuable narrative of the trials and blessings of dealing with the extreme poverty and political upheaval in Nicaragua and other third-world locations. A powerful account!
I was just grabbing a few books for free on my . When I finished, this book was sitting first in the list. I kept being surprised at how easy it was to read. I read for my book-writing friends, and one thing I want to help then strive for is ease of reading. Smooth transition, flowing sentences with beckoning thoughts that lead to the next chapter. Mettey has achieved this and then some. While this is not a fictional thriller, his bigger than life challenges meet up with our massive God every time, and the growth is always stunning. Couldn't put this one down.
